
I made a cute contrasting tote bag from a pattern from Lotta Jansdotter's book, Simple Sewing. I used an orange vinyl table cloth from Ikea and some left over scraps of a botanical pattern (a fat quarter remnant from the craft store).
I'm pretty pleased at how it turned out! I need to get better at sewing a straight line (don't look at the top too closely!), but it's a true rectangle! This will be my new lunch sack.

NICE!! I like the vinyl! Don't worry - my lines are never straight!! In fact I'm wearing a shirt right now that I made this weekend and the lines aren't exactly straight either but you can't tell! I need to make some dishrags to practice or something...that's how Connie learned to sew straight!
